About Me

About Me

I am a clinical psychologist and owner of Crossroads Behavioral Health, LLC in West Hartford, Connecticut.I earned my B.A. degree from Vanderbilt University and my M.A. and PhD. Degrees from the University of Virginia.  I have diverse professional interests and have worked in a variety of settings as a psychotherapist and as an executive coach.  Currently, I devote all of my time to organizational consulting with executives in both the for-profit and non-profit world, and I offer personal coaching for individuals making life and career transitions.

As an executive coach, I help clients develop and harness their natural strengths and talents to achieve optimum performance.  My work as an executive coach focuses on improving my client’s working relationships with key senior leaders and reports by heightening their emotional intelligence and assessing organizational dynamics, enhancing their ability to effectively influence and lead others. Working within an interpersonal framework, using my in-depth psychological understanding of human behavior and finely tuned assessment skills, I offer practical, clear and insightful information to foster my client’s understanding of themselves, their working relationships and their performance.

I have received executive coach training from the College of Executive Coaching. I am a Licensed Highlands Affiliate. In 2024 I completed the ENCORE Program at the University of Connecticut School of Public Policy. I have worked with senior leaders and high potentials from a variety of for-profit and non-profit industries ranging from legal, medical and financial services to technology and fashion industries.

As a personal and career transition coach, I work with students and adults at all stages of development. Coaching benefits students who are honing in on their major areas of study, and want to gain a better understanding of their natural abilities, communication, learning and problem-solving styles, so they can begin to set goals and take steps toward figuring out what they want to do with their lives after college.

For adults who are already ensconced in the working world, I help them make necessary changes needed  to successfully navigate turning points in their career, organizational changes, moves, or layoffs. Last but not least, I work with adults planning for retirement. Intentional planning for this time of life leads to greater fulfillment, and goes well beyond financial planning or simply structuring one’s day.  I help people find a deeper understanding of the key elements enjoyed during their working years, how this relates to their natural abilities, what drives them, and what provides a strong sense of purpose.  I utilize a process of inquiry and offer structured assessment and exercises including The Highlands Ability Battery and the Highlands Vision Program.
